It has been two years since AS220 faced unbeatable odds as the global pandemic changed the course of history. Because of the generosity of our donors and the hard work of our dedicated staff, we have been able to support the 60 artists who live in our three buildings; provide free arts education and workforce development to the 130 young artists in our AS220 Youth program, and adapt our Live Arts and Galleries programs to ensure that all Rhode Island artists still have access to an unjuried and uncensored forum for the arts.

As we continue to adapt to meet our community’s needs, we continue to rely on the community’s support to sustain AS220’s 35+ years of creativity and expression. Please support AS220 with a 2021 year end gift so we can continue to be Providence’s cornerstone arts and culture organization for years to come.

Why I give:

“AS220 provides a community that has helped me live and operate as an artist in the world at large. I’d much rather pay rent to a nonprofit organization that provides a community for artists to grow and express themselves than most alternatives, but AS220 is more than just a place to live and work. The experiences had here are capitally unquantifiable, so I throw the organization a few extra clams when I can while shouting, ‘Utopia or Oblivion!’” – Joe DeGeorge, AS220 resident and musician

Our programs also need supplies to help them achieve their goals! We’d happily accept the following in-kind donations:

AS220 Youth:

  • Non-perishable snack food and bottled water for snack time
  • Paint and paint brushes
  • Computer paper

Media Arts:

  • Black and white 35mm film
  • Audio visual equipment such as microphones and tripods cables
  • Photo inkjet paper

[Note: please contact us on or 401-263-3166 before donating in-kind items to ensure they can be put to good use! If we are unable to accept your donation, we’ll point you in the direction of another local organization that may benefit from your gift.]

The Fund enables us to bring well-known national acts and/or offer a free or reduced cover charge for events. Many of the bands we receive requests to book for a special event require guarantees to perform; donations to the Morgan Sean Ryan Memorial Fund enable us to bring these acts to AS220. AS220 is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
