I have always believed that each of these disciplines, indeed all imaginative endeavors, are part of a continuum... that each form blends into and shares modalities with the others. At times, I have found ways to combine all these interests. At other times, I have focused on one or another individually. However, there is a through line in all my work, ideas that unite the various mediums I have explored: rhythm, harmony, balance, space and light. Whether I am making a drawing or painting, writing a piece of music, or designing a poster, these are the inspirations that guide the process. This exhibition features paintings, drawings, prints, and poster designs from three distinct periods of my career to date.

Works on Paper | Curzake

This phase of my work encompasses a return to the origins and traditional materials of my creative practice in an attempt to examine solitude, quiet intimacy and the keeping of time. In imposing these limitations, an evolving lexicon expands and dissipates. What once constituted a dense landscape is stripped of its parts, not unlike returning to your home after many years to find it has been burned down.

The Illuminated Chamber | Jonathan Buonaccorsi Izzard of Lunar Queer Art

The Illuminated Chamber invites you to step into a realm where these celestial figures take form, inspired by the rich spiritual traditions of Celtic and Sardinian mythology. This collection merges classical elegance with modern illustration, drawing upon the ornamental beauty of Alphonse Mucha while reimagining these spiritual forces through a contemporary illustrative lens.

Here, the stars align to reveal a divine assembly—a celestial gathering of guardians and seers who guide, protect, and illuminate. Step inside and explore some of the forces that weave our universe together.

Toward the Unknown | Gabriel Richardson

My work attempts to reconcile two questions I’ve had for a while. First, can I combine my fascination with image making with my background in traditional craft (woodworking, furniture making and resorption) to create something cohesive? Secondly, can I impart a sense of humor on abstraction? I have been most influenced by artists who have done this successfully by working in three dimensions (Ken Price, Elizabeth Murray, Ron Gorchov among others). These painted pieces allow me to create a synthesis of craft and painting. During my six years of traditional art school training, I worked primarily as a printmaker, and the discipline suited my demeanor. What fascinated me about printmaking was how object-based it was; you spend most of your time crafting an object (matrix) for printing that is not in itself the finished or presented work. Now that I have more experience, I feel much more comfortable working directly on the finished piece.
