AS220 IMPACT: Xander Marro

Xander Marro
Co-Director,
The Dirt Palace
Former AS220 Managing Director

All of the most important relationships in my life are with people who I met or got to know at AS220. Everything about not-for-profit management. including all of the nitty-gritty real estate stuff that we put into practice developing the Wedding Cake House, I learned at AS220.

Not only has AS220 inspired hundreds of artists and organizations, it also maintains a rigorous open source ethos around its knowledge. It's made its organizational learning available and accessible to countless others. AS220 is a rich environment , where youth perspectives are bouncing around with the wisdom of people who've been working in the field for decades.

This sensibility of collaboration runs deep in the arts ecosystem of Rhode Island, and AS220 has played a big role in influencing this culture.
