This is a two-part workshop that meets on July 23rd and July 30th. Students will learn the basics of 35mm black and white film photography, handing, and development. The workshop will include a lecture, imagemaking, and hands on training. Participants will gain familiarity with darkroom safety processes, chemistry, equipment, and best practices. By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to process their own black and white film independently in the darkroom. All materials provided.
