Music Electronics: DIY Theremin with Marc Leclair

  • AS220 Community Studios Lucie Way Providence, RI, 02903 United States (map)

Build a hand-held electronic musical instrument controlled without physical contact by the performer. The Theremin makes the sound you hear in those old sci-fi movies. You’ll solder electronic components and wires onto a circuit board to build your own Theremin in an Altoids tin. Once your circuit is built and running, we'll experiment with sonic capabilities by waving your hands near the Theremin and adding more effects into your sound. This is an easy build for beginners.
