A low-fi retelling of Lovecraft’s classic adventure tale of dark gods and obsidian

fortresses, with hand-cut silhouette puppets and an eerie theremin soundtrack, staged

by Tonnvane Wiswell, founder and artistic director of the London Lovecraft Festival. ‘A

beautifully adapted, cleverly rendered presentation which managed to surprise even the

Curious” – AS220’s Black Box Theater, 95 Empire Street, 02903

A solo performance by Robert Lloyd Parry of perhaps M R James’s most poignant and

personal work: in “A Warning to the Curious,” inspired by the author’s holidays on the

east coast of England, a young archaeologist is haunted and hunted by the guardian of

an ancient treasure. The English seaside has never looked so menacing.
