This week, AS220 Youth‘s sewing class visited the studio of the Providence-based apparel and accessories brand Ape & Bird. April and Rich of Ape & Bird showed us their live/work studio in AS220’s Mercantile building, where they handmake their hats, fanny packs, backpacks, wallets, and more. We learned about some of the technical tricks that go into making their products, as well as how they decide how to price and sell their products.
