AS220 has two subsidized live spaces available June 1, 2013 in the Mercantile Block at 131 Washington Street Providence, RI. The unit it subsidized and must be your primary residence. The annual gross income of the resident cannot exceed $25,200 for single occupancy and $28,800 for double occupancy. Your income must be verified via paystubs, from a form we send to your employer or if self-employed three years of tax returns.  Aside from paying your rent on time each month each artist/tenant is responsible for paying their own electric bill and completing 5 hours per month in community service to AS220. There is no parking included, it is a non-smoking building and only cats are allowed if a pet deposit is paid. In other words, no dogs allowed. The current vacancy is 707 square feet and the rent is $630 per month. Applicants must submit a portfolio of their work and the application to AS220 as outlined on our website application. We also have an unrestricted space opening up in the Dreyfus at 95 Mathewson Street. It could be available as soon as June 1, 3013.  There are no income restrictions or volunteer requirements attached to this unit. It is 495 square feet and costs $920 per month. It is unit 406 on the top floor. The space is surrounded with arched windows so it is very bright.
