AS220 Modern Movements Dance Festival 2018
AS220 presents the third annual Modern Movements Dance Festival, celebrating modern dance in Rhode Island.
With performances on April 13 – 15 and 20-21, a gallery exhibit opening on April 13th, and a slew of workshops over two weeks, this cutting-edge festival features a diverse bill of over a dozen emerging and established dance artists and companies.
April 13 at 5:30 PM: I Am Movement Gallery Opening (FREE!)

April 13 and April 14 at 7:30 PM: Bill Evans 78! ($20)
An American dance icon celebrates his birthday with several good dancing friends! Besides Evans, featured performers are Kristina Berger (internally-celebrated modern dancer), Amy Burns and Melody Gamba (principal artists in Rhode Island’s Fusionworks Dance Company), Don Halquist (32-veteran of the Evans Company) and Greg Woodsbie (accomplished composer/musician).
