Spring Awakening tells the story of a group of teenagers living in 1890 Germany. Their limited knowledge on the world due to their academically oppressive setting makes their lives much more difficult when they are put in unfamiliar situations. The changing of their physical selves poses a threat to their mental stability when the ignorance of their parents is added into their lives.
