AS220 has one affordable live studio on the communal floor of our Empire Street complex in Providence, RI, available on February 15th, 2019. Applications are due by midnight on Sunday, January 27th.

The current vacancy is unit 309. This unit is 254 square feet and rents for $360 per month, plus a $10 per month contribution for cleaning supplies and other communal expenses. This is a single-occupancy unit. The units are subsidized and must be your primary residence. Your income cannot exceed $28,150 but must be at least $8,640.

Important: AS220’s Empire Street complex is currently undergoing renovations. In the winter and early spring, work will be happening on the residential third floor, including the installation of an elevator and changes to one of the shared bathrooms.

Residential artists at AS220 ‘s Empire Street complex must be committed to a cooperative living structure since you share the floor with 10 other people. Aside from paying your rent on time each month each artist/tenant is responsible for 5 hours per month in community service to AS220, respectful use of common facilities, completing assigned / shared chores for the common spaces on the floor, and attendance at monthly floor meetings. No parking, no smoking, no pets.
