As part of the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, AS220 is proud to host Las Tenoras: A Voice for the Silence. Local poets Marleny Luna, Sussy Santana, and Shey Rivera unite their voices against the recent feminicides in the Dominican Republic. Las Tenoras is a feminist audiovisual performance of bilingual poetry and protest centered on the Latina experience.
The event will be held on Saturday, September 8th, at 8pm, at AS220’s 95 Empire Black Box Theatre, located at 95 Empire St. in Providence, Rhode Island. Guests are encouraged to wear white clothes in support of the cause. Admission is $5.
