AS220 Galleries is very excited to re-present ”Tides” by multimedia artist Priscilla Carrion ( @achachaiiii ) through our AS220 Flat-file project, which can be purchased through our online shop or at The AS220 Project Space Gallery. “Tides” is also on display in our December Exhibit at the AS220 RES Gallery which closes December 29th, 2018!

“I am influenced by my history and background, having been raised in Providence as first generation Ecuadorian- US American. Growing up with a foot in each culture and traveling has increased my awareness of the impact that economic and political changes can have on our personal lives, societies, art and cultural trends. We are communal organisms and from my experience living in RI, I’ve learned it’s essential to empower residents to be engaged in their communities through artistic expressions; It can be healing. I am motivated and inspired by my friends and by nature…”

“I’m a textile artist living and working in Providence, RI. Currently creating works on commission, a sample maker, quilter, and sewing costumes for artists in the theater world. While also working on community based art projects whenever possible, I am developing a practice and designs in a collective textile studio space called WARP in Olneyville, RI.”
