work by Meg Sullivan and Susie Schutt, Urban Coastal Dance, Stephanie Turner, Leigh Hendrix, Andy Russ, Burr Harrison, and Peter Deffet and Mike Watson.
Performances followed by short talk back with the artists
Be there for the first look at a song from a zombie musical and pieces from a newly formed dance company; hear someone accompany themselves on the autoharp and listen to stories of heartbreak; and taste a casserole made of equal parts mark twain, haiku and frog.
Be surprised and energized and give your feedback – each artist has questions to ask of the audience about their work that will support the development of brand new performance. Conceived as a way to provide opportunities for artists to develop new work and receive helpful feedback from fellow artists and audiences, this is the first in what will hopefully become a series of performance and development opportunities.
This work in progress show is supported by the Rhode Island Performance Exchange, a non-rivalrous forum and network for resource and knowledge sharing and collaboration for anyone who makes performance in Rhode Island.
