FLUXUS FUNERAL: El funeral de la luna de fresas y la procesión del trueno
(The Funeral of the Strawberry Moon and the Thunder Procession)
presented by the FLUXUS MOON CABARET
As part of AS220’s NIGHT VISION series (Pop Up Providence) and the First Annual Providence Fringe Festival, the Fluxus Moon Cabaret presents the final installment of its four-part performance series. This will be yet another meta-performance, this time featuring 35 artists and performances at AS220’s 95 Empire Black Box Theater. We will begin at the theater, then lead a procession into Grant’s Block in Westminster Street, where we will continue an eclectic ritual of performances and experimental film.

Admission: $3 for those wearing Funeral attire; $5 for the world.
Inspired by strawberries, the Farmer’s Almanac, full moons, “El Velorio” de Francisco Oller, “The Handsomest Drowned Man in The World” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, “Pedro Paramo” by Juan Rulfo, “Aura” by Carlos Fuentes, and Oya the Orisha diety of storms and cemeteries.

AS220 will be presenting experimental performances and films at Grant’s Block in Westminster Street, in Downcity Providence (the open space where they screen the “Movies on the Block” series).
