Do you know the basics of HTML and CSS but want to know how to take your coding skills to the next level? This three-session workshop will explore best-practices and principles for organizing CSS, mastering CSS selectors, making your own CSS layout grids, and giving elements state and motion using CSS transformations and animation. All materials will be supplied. The software used in class is free and open source. You may use your own laptop or Macintosh computer in the AS200 Media Arts studio.
About the Instructor: Todd Linkner has over fifteen years of experience in graphic, user-experience, and user-interface design. He has worked with clients ranging in scope from small grassroots non-profits to enterprise-scale global corporations, specializing in brand-centered design with a focus on usability, and is currently designing mobile apps and websites for several book publishers and universities. Todd is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Art and Design, where he studied graphic design and printmaking. His work has been featured in several books and design publications, including Black Book AR100, Graphic Design USA, Logo Lounge, and Print.
