TOMMY WRIGHT III & NICKELUS F – BREAK THE STAGE TOUR – NOVEMBER 2018

BreakTheStage-Square2Final

Hometown heroes and straight-up legends far and wide, legendary Memphis’ rap pioneer, TOMMY WRIGHT III & Richmond’s favorite son NICKELUS F team up to bring you all the finest cuts from nearly 50 years of combined experience and output in the rap game. TOMMY WRIGHT III has been Runnin-N-Gunnin since the early 90s when Memphis gangsta rap developed the frameworks that the genre would be built upon for the next 25+ years. He’s written songs for some of the biggest names in hip-hop, is credited as an influence by all your favorite rappers and was incredibly pivotal to the sound we all know and love. Back on the streets and better than ever, TW3 is embarking on a road tour to show y’all why he’s the King of Memphis and let you experience firsthand the heralded live show that has this veteran selling out rooms to a crowd ranging from classic hip-hop heads to teenage skate-punks to metal-thrashing-mad lunatics and beyond. Up until now Tommy has been an icon in which you had to go to a destination city to experience and finally he’s coming to break you in and BREAK THE STAGE!!

With the addition of Richmond, VA’s NICKELUS F, you’re getting not one but two legends representing two of the South’s underdog cities’ often overlooked sounds. NICKELUS F (fka Nick Fury) sprung on the scene at the turn of the century and has released 8 LPs, the latest of which, “Stuck” has his name back on the tip of every tastemaker’s tongue after a notable two-year absence from the spotlight while he focused on college and producing. Every since May 2018’s graduation, however, it’s been pedal to the metal for NICKELUS F (aka SWEET PETEY) starting that very weekend with a return show for a capacity crowd of 600+ alongside longtime friend and admirer Lil Ugly Mane (the other half of the “Trick Dice” LP). This was quickly followed by 9 more shows in the South to sold out crowds.  Despite a career almost 20 years long with a resume boasting an induction to BET’s 106 & Park “Freestyle Friday Hall Of Fame,” collaborations with Drake, J.I.D. and the aforementioned LUM as well as being immortalized with a mural in his hometown by renowned street artist Nils Westergaard, PETEY has returned with such a Fury that his future looks even brighter than his past.

Richmond hip-hop titan, fellow Association of Great Minds (AGM) member (alongside PETEY, Radio B and his brother Namebrand) and another of Virginia’s finest, none other than MICHAEL MILLIONS will be joining on some dates as well for some extra fire in select cities. MICHAEL is the man on the mic no doubt, but also one of the finest producers and behind the scenes movers-and-shakers in the mid-Atlantic. Catch him performing his own feature set in select cities as well as being the right-and-left hand man to Nickelus’ set as well. On their first times in a lot of these Northeast and Midwest cities, there’s a bevy of special guests of all genres who they’ll link up with here and there including (but not limited to) NOLA bounce legend SISSY NOBBY in Chicago, close cohort and collaborator LIL UGLY MANE in NY and Boston, Montreal/Brooklyn hardcore punks STIGMATISM, progressive southern political rock poets LEE BAINS III & THE GLORY FIRES and many more to be slowly announced. Watch out for ticket links as this one is certain to sell out a lot of these rooms. Don’t say you weren’t warned!!
