The Low Mountaintop Collective presents G(u)arden: The Afterlife of Trees

Set in the distant-near future of the ever-present here, G(u)arden: The Afterlife of Trees is a devised work dance, a conjuring, at the crossroad of our shared identities. In a space/ time fraught with interspecies genocide and widespread ecological exile, we ask our bodies, the prima materia of this ancient rite, to grow something new. This work digs beneath the AS220 Black Box Theatre to locate and assimilate the wisdom left buried for us, asking, how do we define boundaries? What do we need to nourish ourselves? How do we hold ourselves accountable to old and new life?
