The Duende Project is the collaboration among Tony Brown, veteran performance poet; Steven Lanning-Cafaro, bassist/guitarist; guitarist/producer Chris Lawton; and drummer Chris O’Donnell. Together they blend performance poetry with rock, jazz, funk, reggae, and more into a high energy blend of music and meaning. (Or something like that.) As The Duende Project, they’ve spent nearly 14 years performing up and down the East Coast and have released six collections of their work, including the recent “Live At AS220 (2019)” which can be found on all major download and streaming services.
Their website at http://theduendeproject.com offers links to videos and music, show schedules, and more.
Tony’s personal blog of constantly updated new poems, “Dark Matter,” is at http://radioactiveart.blog.
And of course, there’s the inevitable Facebook page for The Duende Project…titled, of course, “The Duende Project,” as well as the Twitter account @DuendeProject.

AS220’s LIVE ARTS performance spaces are unjuried and uncensored forums for the arts, offering every artist residing in our small state the opportunity to perform or present their original work at our venue. If you are a performer interested in setting up a Streaming Session, especially if you had an event cancelled at AS220 due to the pandemic, email booking@as220.org.
