St. James and the Apostles

St. James & The Apostles is three Philly cousins who play sweaty, heavy, organ-powered psychedelic soul. Think The Animals meets Queens of the Stone Age or Deep Purple meets James Brown ‘Live at the Apollo’. After innumerable gigs, the 3 of them headed down to the basement and began working on their 2nd album ’Via Dolorosa’ (2014), using a back-to-basics approach, using only 8-track reel-to-reel.

Matt has been in like 10 cool bands. Chris doesn’t know how to play guitar, but that don’t stop’em. With that being said…they both laugh at the same shit and both could agree on the fact that they aren’t really into the “idea” of a “bass player”(pffff!!). So they started a 2 piece band in the summer of 2010, and haven’t been the same since.
