AS220 Main Stage

Rookies Rising came to life when Max Lehouiller, a junior at Rocky Hill School from South Kingstown, Rhode Island,  brought to light the idea of a festival celebrating all aspects of music. He gathered a group of peers and worked to bring his concept of elevating young, up and coming artists – as well as bringing together communities through a shared love of music – to life.
Rookies Rising is a festival that aims to create room for shared experiences, expose individuals to new viewpoints of music, and ensure that inspired, young musicians have an environment to grow and share their craft with an eager audience. The festival serves to foster the growth and creative spirit of both the performers and the attendees and create overall positive energy to support young artists. Something that started as a prodigious, wild idea has now come to life with 5 musical acts from across around Rhode Island representing students from Providence, South Kingstown, Barrington and more.
Rookies Rising is proud to be working with AS220, a leading community arts organization.  We hope you can join us to promote, celebrate and experience the festival by young artists, for young artists – Rookies Rising – on May 29th.

We would love to talk to you more about our mission and the importance of bringing young people together for cultural communication and the love of music.
