In this workshop we will work with the elements of chance, The Haiku, and the body to explore ways of illustrating text, and create mini stories through a collaborative process.
Ronald Lewis is a Florida native who has found providence in Rhode Island. Ronald is a light seeking, black, queer, inter-sex human, found here, in a space of grace creating text, which is often clothed with the body through the conventions of dance, theatre, and live performance. Ronald’s work is anchored in the idea that the light of the world is closer than our next breath. It is in that light that they have found the freedom to engage in the healing of the world. Their work is one with a mission of social justice. It seeks to examine, question, and translate histories, and ideologies of faith, race, sexuality, and gender. Ronald is a 2015 graduate of Rhode Island College, and has performed in dozens of plays, readings and dance performances.
