This participatory performance workshop creates a framework for the practice of ‘embodied thinking in common’ around the theme of cynicism, a widespread emotional situation in contemporary times, from the position of an imagined Citizen of the World. The workshop will involve some role-playing as well as the collaborative development of a gestural vocabulary that evokes pervasive habits of living and thinking. The workshop builds on the performance piece, Cabinet of Cynics: Endure, developed in collaboration with visual artist Rebecca Henriksen.
