Providence Comedy Group and its members The Empire Revue and the Providence Improv Guild (P.I.G), in collaboration with the new AS220 Live Arts, are proud to present the 2nd Annual Ring in the Night event, Providence’s only all day and all night New Year’s celebration!

In a celebration of the performing arts in Providence, we will have events all day and all night long at both the AS220 Main Stage as well as the AS220 Black Box! Starting at 1pm, we will have family-friendly performances, and then at 7pm we’ll move on to more grown-up fun!

This event will sell out, so order your tickets today! Day passes and night passes are available at:
Single-show tickets will be available on a limited basis on the day of the show.

The day-time schedule, beginning at 1pm, will include improv workshops for younger and older kids, a dance workshop, and a mask-making workshop, as well as performances by Eric Fulford, the Manton Avenue Project, the Extraordinary Rendition Band, and Keith Munslow and Bill Harley!

At 7pm, evening events begin, again with two stages running simultaneously. Partygoers will have their pick of comedy from the Providence Improv Guild or tunes from some of Providence’s finest singer-songwriters in a showcase hosted by local favorite, Joanne Lurgio. But, it won’t all end there. At 8:30, Randy Bush will host a special New Year’s version of his powerhouse standup show ‘LuLz! Comedy Night’ on the Live Arts Main Stage, and next door at the Live Arts Black Box, actors and improvisors will present ‘Classical Intoxication: An Evening of Drinking, Theatre, and Poor Choices,’ in which the cast will perform Oedipus Wrecked, a louder, drunker version of the classic play.

The night closes out with musical comedy from AS220 mainstays the Empire Revue, followed by a dance party with the one and only Superchief Trio!
