PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder) is a serious mental health problem that some people develop after experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening event, like combat, a natural disaster, a car accident, or sexual assault. It affects about 3.5% of adult Americans and 14% of Veterans at any given point and twice as many over the course of a lifetime. This panel will address PTSD and cutting edge treatments from the perspective of researchers, clinicians, and patients.
