Are you interested in helping to protect yourself and your community
from abusive government surveillance? Would you prefer if companies
weren’t able to use records of your online behavior to take advantage of
you? There are now better methods available to protect us. This
workshop will teach some of the latest techniques so people can keep
their individual creative life decisions from being digitally
appropriated, exploited and subverted through large-scale data gathering
and digital analysis.

Feel free to bring your computer and/or phone — there will be WiFi
available, and you can start downloading some of the material we
describe as the workshop happens.

It’s from 1:30-3:30pm on Saturday July 15 — we’ll cover beginner
material first, so people who have been to a previous privacy workshop
might want to come at 2:30. This is one of a series of privacy
workshops sponsored by Rhode Island Rights. The workshop is led by Greg
Boyce, a cybersecurity specialist from the Boston area.

Stay afterwards from Rhode Island Rights’s monthly meeting in the same
location.
