Brainstorm

Live Bait is pleased to be included in this year’s Brain Week RI, a week (or more) of events focused on the wonders of the brain and the wealth of brain related science and activity in RI. Activities include school visits, symposiums, concerts and storytelling (as in Live Bait) from experts and anyone else with a true story to tell.

With that in mind, February’s theme is Brainstorm. If you have a true story that in any way, shape or form fits this theme, come to Live Bait, put your name in the fishbowl and, when called, come up and tell it. Remember, please: no notes, no rants, no aimless ramblings, no stand-up routines, and there is a six-minute time limit. Of course, all are more than welcome to simply sit back and listen.

Brain Week Rhode Island was conceived and is organized by Cure Alliance for Mental Illness, a national advocacy organization promoting increased research on mental illnesses. Brain Week RI is part of international Brain Awareness Week, which takes place each March to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research.
