Strolling puckishly along musical borderlands, Boston’s The Solars perform their lush, ethereal arrangements at AS220 on 1/12. The quintet cover astonishing ground on their forthcoming EP “Retitled Remastered” — Harry Smith-esque folk, kaleidoscopic British Invasion harmonies, bottomless layers of old-school production trickery — by hewing to an artful formula of profound depth and balance.
