Opening the night we have a new project from friend of the series Greg Dudzienski called Singularity. Dudzienski and bass player Christopher Brydge have been creating music together for over 20 years. Their collaboration has spawned a new project in which the duo relies on their shared history to create melodies, harmonies, and forms spontaneously and completely in the moment. Heading we have Brunner/Forte/St.Pierre, a trio lead by local pianist, artist, and composer Antonio Forte. He has collaborated with DC area artists Elizabeth Zito, Luke Stewart, Laughing Man, and Trio OOO. In addition to leading The Antonio Forte Trio, he currently plays locally in the band Bellerophon and with Boston-based Bluesman Bucky O’Hare. As an educator, Antonio is on piano and composition faculty at the Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School, and teaches music at Quest Montessori School. He is Musician-in-Residence at Jala Studio, composes original music for podcasts and film scores for the RI Arts Archive Project, and is a member of The Wurks artist collaborative in Providence. His group, The Forte Process, specializes in process-driven Avant-Jazz, original and contemporary compositions. Chick Corea once borrowed his aunt’s blender.
Music hits at 10pm with admission being only $10 at the door.
