This documentary takes place at the fringe of the New York stand up comedy scene. Every day in the city, you see weird people on the streets and subway and wonder what their deal is. At open mics, they walk in, take the microphone, and tell it exactly what it is- at least from their point-of-view. Their comedy is not always as funny as it is fascinating. Hysterical follows two weird outsider comedians who let us deep into their lives, which are just as surprising and peculiar as you might expect them to be.
