HORROR: written and performed by Elizabeth Keiser
For most, “All the world’s a stage,” wrote William Shakespeare, whoever she was. And for a select fortunate few, “All the world’s an epic series of auditions, interviews, and go-sees.” Post election, pre-apocalypse, and defying the Internet (interNOT) join Elizabeth Anne Keiser as she draws from her experiences of meeting Bjork, Harrison Ford, Lee Ioccoca, Janeane Garofalo, the entire original production team of Hair, etc. Drawing on music and scenes from her performances of RISCA Playwriting Merit “Perversion Incognito” and other plays performed at AS220 Blackbox, Carriage House, Stitches, Catch a Rising Star, the Westbeth Theater, the Westbank Theater, and various other venues, Keiser interacts with her transformed versions of those she has interviewed, those by whom she was interviewed, and assorted other malfunctional and ultimately humorous interactions in both public education and New York theater scenes.
