They left for San Francisco shortly after graduation in 1980, and won the top prize in San Francisco in 1983. Their career then took off, and for the next seven years, they performed full time at Pier 39 in San Francisco. as well as gigs and events all over the state, the country, and the world, including seven trips to Japan. They performed their last shows together back in Rhode Island, appearing at the Water Fire Festival and First Night in the late 1990’s, capping a 20+ year career together.
Andrew Potter started his show of their story “The Road to High Street” as a graduate student at Emerson College in 1997. After many, (many!) years of development, he hit the fringe show circuit in 2010. With his unique combination of live storytelling, music, and projected media about his very unusual career, Andrew has been earning rave reviews ever since.
