Ants in the Cellar is a three-piece rock band based out of Providence, RI. The band reinvented itself in 2011 after a long hiatus with new members Anton Lund (drums, vocals) and Bill McGowan (bass, vocals) joining original member Mike Adamowicz (vocals, guitar). Ants in the Cellar draws on a variety of influences (progressive rock, blues, singer/songwriter, new wave). However, they maintain alternative rock roots, with many of their primary influences coming from the diverse collection of indie rock bands that proliferated the “left of the dial” radio scene of the late eighties/early nineties.
