Cartoon Justice is a collective improvisation ensemble blending a diverse set of musical ideas into a fresh and unique sonic art. The have been called Shamanic Noise Jazz,.. Po litical Instrumental… SciFi Noir, …punk harmolodic jazz.An Organic mix of european electroacoustic (Mika studied with Valdemir Ussachevsky in University) and free improvisation with a healthy dose of rootsy indigenous folk elements.Their recent CD collaboration with longtime Ornette Coleman Drummer G Calvin Weston exemplified their diverse sonic palette. As a reviewer of this CD sad: “Pontecorvo, Weston and Cartoon Justice sure put out a mighty  hot jazz rock (as in fusion done up right!) that keeps my attention going.”….”what I would have hoped Sonny Sharrock woulda been up to had he lasted this long down the music line. Frantic and cluttered, yet with a clear musical vision that sure sounded good back in the seventies when you were young and upstarting, yet it sounds even better in the here and now giving us all a bright glimpse of musical hope!”
