Will plays electric banjo. He grew up in Missouri and learned to play banjo before coming to school on the east coast. He bought an amp and pickup and took it electric! Recent influences include Dinosaur Jr., Oh,Rose (indie band out of Washington), Cisco Houston, Lester Flatt, MegaBog (seen at as220), as well as some hip hop – Ice Cube, Nas,and MFDoom especially.
Jacob Haller has been a fixture of the Rhode Island music scene for the past ten years, and has been frequently featured in popular shows such as AS220’s Empire Revue and Common Fence Point Music’s annual Gathering of Fiddlers & Fishermen.
In 2010 he was nominated for ‘Best Singer/Songwriter’ in the Providence Phoenix, and, in 2011, his song ‘The Ballad of Anne Hutchinson’ was one of those selected to be played in ‘Singing About Providence’, a show celebrating Providence’s 375th anniversary put on by HEAR In Rhode Island and the Rhode Island
