Formed in 1994, Baylies Band is probably the second longest continuous original band based in Providence after drop dead but who knows anymore? Eric Baylies plays moog, theremin and sings. Chris Devona plays synth, Mike Heffernan plays synth and sings, Dwayne Voelker basses it up, Kevin Naigle drums, Eric Wagner drums, and Anna Karatza sings. 2 live in new bedford, 1 lives in cranston, and 4 live in providence. Eric Baylies has played in Minibeast w peter prescott of mission of burma, and w pauline oliveiros, and steve mackaye of the stooges. Baylies Band is finishing up a covid record done somewhat remotely w guest john drumbo french ( captain beefheart), makoto ( acid mothers temple) dana colley ) morphine) and brendan canty ( fugazi) recorded by chris devona at his studio.  They have a million albums on bandcamp and videos on youtube. Baylies Band have had over 50 members go through their revolving door now, but are now as stable as their namesake ( uh oh…)

Since it isn’t possible to gather for shows, AS220 Live Arts is bringing performances from local artists directly to you to watch from the comfort and safety of your own home with“AS220 Streaming Sessions” – high quality multi-camera, multi-track, live-streamed or pre-recorded weekly performances! AS220’s LIVE ARTS performance spaces are unjuried and uncensored forums for the arts,offering every artist residing in our small state the opportunity to perform or present their original work at our venue.
