AS220 invites you to participate in an open public forum on Thursday, September 7th at 5 PM at the AS220 Main Stage.

AS220 was founded as an alternative space that is open to all artists to perform and exhibit their original work in an uncensored environment. Any artist (any PERSON) in Rhode Island can perform on our stages, or exhibit in our galleries.

In addition to providing an open forum for all, AS220 is also committed to fostering diversity in our spaces, creating opportunity for underserved and marginalized voices, and enhancing cultural opportunities for everyone in Rhode Island and beyond.

As you can imagine, sometimes these ideas can be in conflict with one another.

Join us to discuss the following ideas, and others:

• What is unjuried?
• What is uncensored?
• If something is happening at AS220, is that an endorsement from the organization?
• If something that you don’t like is happening at AS220, what is the most effective way to respond to it, and what can or should AS220 do about it?
• If you want to make something happen at AS220, how can you?
