Artist Sharon Cutts will be giving an artist talk at the AS220 Project space on Thursday May 21st at 5:30 pm at the AS220 Project Space at 93 Mathewson St. The talk coincides with Sharon’s exhibition Wall People; a series of new canvas mosaics on curved wood. The mosaic process is slow and time-consuming developed from earlier work of cut and torn painted canvas. For the Wall People Sharon affixed canvas mosaic onto bent wood and  the curved and bent sculptural shapes add dynamism and allow the characters to reach out or bow over the viewer.
