Alex Walsh, Sam Mayer, and James Paternostro

Alex is a Providence-based singer/songwriter who strives to be the child of Wilco and Regina Spektor. She recently switched to guitar after fifteen years on the piano. Big song themes include: seasons, flowers, colors, and one really patriarchal ex. When not reveling in “A Ghost is Born”, Alex studies math and poetry at Brown.

James Paternostro is a singer/songwriter who moved to Providence from Connecticut about 10 months ago. Three albums that he thinks encapsulate his sound are Pink Moon by Nick Drake, Veneer by Jose Gonzalez, and the moodier more introspective songs off of Pearl Jam’s debut album Ten. James describes his music as a sonic diary of sorts, with each song serving as a different entry revealing a heavily veiled view of himself or his take on the world and other
