When and where? Wednesday, May 6th – Saturday, May 9th, 2020 at AS220 in Providence, RI
What? AS220’s Practice//Practice professional development program offers the arts and culture field an intensive learning alternative to large scale conferences or semester-based higher-education courses. Read more about the program HERE!
Why? For 35 years, AS220 has been a living example of innovation in non-profit arts programming, youth programming, community development and creative placemaking. Practice//Practice allows AS220 to share our real world experience of community building with people looking to grow creative communities in other corners of the country and the world.
What will I get out of it?
- A formal peer-to-peer professional development opportunity
- Transparent access to policies and resources for program growth
- Access to AS220 staff and leadership
- Connections with a magical cohort of participants (trust us!)
What others have to say: “I now feel embedded in a community of arts managers that are truly colleagues and peers in the world. When we are so often working alone against a great many difficulties in the arts world, that sense of collaboration, of friendship, of support, is perhaps the most valuable asset to have. I can’t recommend this experience highly enough.”
– Erica Mena, Spring 2016 cohort
Cost? $500 – $1,000 sliding scale. If you’re a parent, you can apply for a scholarship to help you attend thanks to the Sustainable Arts Foundation!
