Baltimore’s Annex Theatre brings SALOME to Providence!
The Baltimore Annex Theater is on tour again with an original adaptation of Salome. This biblical story has been totally reshaped and reconceived to display what could be a fantastical future or a brutal past. Using the themes of eccentric tastes in food, sexual obsession, environmental reshaping and austerity measures taken to an extreme, this new play brings the old story of Salome, King Herod, his wife Herodias and John the Baptist back to life. With a multimedia use of montage and innovative stagecraft, this play should not be missed.
