Kris Fame – 3rd Shift

James Fatorma also known as Kris Fame is a music producer from Providence, Rhode Island. Growing up he was always interested in music and art. He started drawing cartoons and took several classes at City Arts youth program in his community. He attended Saint Matthew’s School of Arts where he grew a passion for music. He also took piano lessons at Brown University when he was 10 years old. He was 12 when he was introduced to music production. In high school, he attended The Metropolitan Regional Career and Technical Center (The MET), there he was given the opportunity through his first internship to work at AS220/Hip-Hop220 where he learned how put together weekly open mic events and music production. He credits his  mentors Kareem Caines and Dj Tek for the knowledge of hip hop and building showcase events. Kris Fame went on to attend college at Fullsail University where he studied recording arts to build on his knowledge for music production and engineering. Kris Fame has a lot of experience in the music business and had the opportunity to work with several major artist in the music industry such as Lupe Fiasco, Rick Ross, Big Krit, and more. He started a brand called The 3rd Shift back in 2015 to give other producers, artists, and creatives a platform for their work. He also enjoys teaching music production for creatives in the community young and old through a structured curriculum created himself.
