In an effort to better serve a wide range of audiences in Rhode Island, AS220 has created a “Community Curators” program. Community Curators create diverse programming in our Live Arts Venues. They book multiple performances each year, handle promotion, curate performers, communicate AS220’s unique policies to them, and designate a volunteer to run box office for the night. The Community Curators receive special perks and benefits and support for booking events from Live Arts staff. The program is designed to help form new connections between like-minded artists and audiences with similar tastes and interests.

Other regularly scheduled program includes:
– monthly Geek Dinners!
– weekly figure drawing sessions on Tuesdays at 5:30pm at the AS220 Main Stage
– Songwriters In The Round on 2nd Wednesday of the month, an acoustic singer/songwriter showcase hosted by RISA (Rhode Island Songwriter Association)
– Traditional Irish Music: Free live music, hosted by Jimmy and Hannah Devine, with Mark Roberts, Andrea Cooper, Teddi Scobi and friends, every Saturday (except the first Saturday of the month) at Foo(d) and The Bar. Check the calendar to make sure it’s on!
– Mic Madness Youth Open Mics (fourth Wednesdays)
