Molding and casting a flexible coupling
by Noah BedfordJonathan's machine uses flexible couplings:
I decided to make one for molding and casting, first, I drew it in Inkscape:
Further edited it in the Gimp, part 0:
Part 0 was cast entirely in urethane rubber, here it is next to the part it's based off of:
(this was popped directly out of the wax mold)
Part 1 is cast in hydrostone (though I'm going to test urethane plastic as well), here's the wax master mold:
Which broke when I removed the urethane mold:
But the urethane mold itself is okay:
