AS220 offers all Rhode Islanders the opportunity to exhibit their original artwork in our galleries, free of charge. We operate four public galleries with new exhibits occurring monthly, and opening receptions on the first Saturday of each month.

Our newest gallery space in the Empire Street complex, the Aborn has significantly increased our exhibition space. Artists exhibiting in the Aborn Gallery also have access to the street-level windows gallery.

The Main Stage Gallery
115 Empire Street, Street Level (Empire Street Complex)
Located in the same space as our main concert and performance venue ( the AS220 Main Stage), shows in this gallery typically showcase two or more artists.

The Project Gallery

The Project Space Gallery typically features the work of one artist. Though it’s one of our smaller spaces it has tons of wall space and work is visible from Matthewson street.

Adjacent to the Project Gallery, this is our most intimate gallery. Typically the work of one artist is featured in this up-close-and-personal space.

Resident Gallery Space
131 Washington St. (Foyer of the Mercantile Block residence space)
Locating on the ground-floor lobby of the Mercantile Block Building. Works displayed here are visible from Washington Street. This space perfect for solo or thematic group shows.
