Big Nazo: Fumble Blob

In Big Nazo’s Fumble Blob, larger-than-life-size puppet creatures sing, dance, trip and fall to the beat of a live funk band. Accompanied by his contortionist circus family and a three-eye Giant Robot, an unconventional film director attempts to shoot scenes for a movie, set in a jungle of confusion. Fumble Blob is a lot like his movie: "A romantic-action-disaster-comedy-reality TV show with unexpected guest appearances, plot twists and shock endings."

Jam-packed with comedy sketches, daredevil stunts and soap opera hysterics, this extravaganza suspends and rearranges the laws of social conduct and gravity. Characters switch heads, an audience member can be turned into a jungle animal, and kids can hope to win a battle with a giant Chi-Pet Frog-Dog Monster! To stir things up, the Big Nazo’s band provides a commentary of incidental music, sound effects and funk and R&B tunes in which, at one point, a giant-sized Rat-Dog-Deer-Man grabs the mic and begins to howl and sing. Get ready to fumble with the blobs!

About the artists:
Big Nazo has designed, constructed and performed characters for countless theatrical productions, parades, TV projects, and festive extravaganzas throughout the US and overseas including Singapore, Scotland, Indonesia, Portugal, Japan, Canada, Italy and Holland. Big Nazo puppets, masks and giant characters were featured in the Broadway Play Jackie, An American Life at the Belasco Theatre. They have participated in the Seattle Bumbershoot Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Fest, The Osaka, Japan International Performance Fest, the Montreal Juste Pour Rire Comedy Festival, the Lower Manhattan Busker Fest, the Winnepeg and Alberta Children's Festivals, the Vancouver Comedy Festival, the Limberg Festival in Holland, and the Canevale festivals in Venice and Viareggio, Italy, among others.
